Meatopia Texas
Join us for the first ever Meatopia Texas! This 2 day event at Pearl will celebrate the delicious collaboration between some of our country's best independent ranchers and farmers and our most innovative chefs. The event is rain or shine.
Saturday, November 2nd: The Beefsteak
The Beefsteak will be held Saturday night and will pay tribute to the carnivorous celebration held one hundred years ago. Originating in the Gilded Age, New York, beefsteaks were marked by endless platters of dry-aged prime steak, served family style, to apron wearing guests. The only rule of these gleeful and over-the-top events were the promise they made that their attendees would never leave hungry. Meatopia San Antonio will bring back this incredible tradition. Mike Toscano will prepare immense mouthwatering Tomahawk Rib Steaks over live coals, The Granary’s Tim Rattray will finish slow-smoked porterhouses on a live wood fire and Tim Byres from Smoke will prepare rubbed NY Strip Steaks.
Sunday, November 3rd: Meatopia
There is no more ambitious or spectacular meat-centric culinary event in the world than Meatopia proper, an immense, exciting, campus-wide celebration of meat and meat cookery, featuring over twenty chefs from Texas and around the country, cooking beef, pork, veal, chicken, duck, quail, bison, venison, and many other animals, from snout to tail.
